Sunday's on the phone to Monday,

She came in through the Bathroom window - The Beatles

Our living room is in a mess - my family's making room for the new piano set to come tomorrow and luggages for their Bali trip are strewn over the porch area.
SLC's in a day but I haven't gotten the chance to pack, wish I was following my family for a retreat instead!

The weekend never lasts long, it's just 48 hours flying past and you spend half of it under the sheets (okay maybe just myself)
I guess with the holidays, week days and ends start to blur but it's always that prospect of the weekends that makes it so special

Arab street food escapade - Not really a fan of Nasi Briyani but this was supposed to be one of the best in Singapore.
Japanese paper plane we got from a thrift toy store
Gowns and suits shopping on a lazy Saturday - happy aches for sure! (Any dress longer than your knees should be banned in the tropical heat of Singapore)
Fell in love with an oriental cheongsam, when in doubt buy it motto didn't apply.

Sneaked a shot while Skyping with Karen
Off to Skype Sean in an hour's time, and I have yet to shower and get dressed for PD meeting later!
(P.S. If you see this I almost bought you the 'Singapore fines' shirt but I didn't have enough cash )

Mazel tov,

Awesome night out with the PRU members @ Timbre Arts House - packed with pizzas, drinks and laughter (not to miss out on the lovely company the entire night)
Had a great time, a huge plus with the semester examinations finally over
Peiwen and Raymond doing their singing forfeit @ Timbre stage
Also realized how cai-quan (literally translated as guessing-fist) isn't really my cup of tea, landing me forfeit 1 and forfeit 2 consecutively.
You can't really see the second one though heehee.

In the meantime it's back to camps and NUSSU projects in hand - committee and cell meetings await.

Away,

Will be away at camp from 6 December - 8 December
Amazing weekend, will update soon!

DIY Charm bracelet: Charm(ed),

Do-it-yourself accessories can never go wrong, nimble fingers make a plus.
Note: Manicures may get sacrificed (at the tips especially, while bending the ends of wires)

Charm bracelets are a lady's best friend - a classic, really.
All you need is a couple of jump rings, beads and a hearty mind - magically brews up a creative storm.
(GIF may take a while to transform)

That perfect knit sweater,

Such a perfect escape to snuggle in, amidst the awfully wet weather these few days have brought along.
Looking through Lookbook, fashion candy can never go out of date!
Amazing how fashion isn't skimped even with the snow hitting many parts of Europe and America, and dropping temperatures.

Does anyone know how to use Singpost for online orders?
I've been eyeing this toga one shoulder pleated dress in rose from Warehouse, Spotlight.
It's only available on Selffridges.com and it requires a UK address!
Much help appreciated

Baubles, Bangles and Beads,

Baubles, bangles, bright shiny beads
Sparkles, spangles, your heart will sing, singa-linga
Wearin' baubles, bangles and beads

Frank Sinatra is such an inspiration - love his smooth swing vocals.
Anyhow, it inspired me to dig out my beads collections and get my hands on more (Arab Street and Far East has amazing variety)
Bringing pick n' mix to a new dimension!

Mess of jump rings and bendy wire for the DIY hooks
Dirty gold beads, managed to hook the first one already

Love the clasps
Was looking for the ones which I had on a bracelet from a flea market @ Mt. Sophia (which went missing) but they didn't have those in dirty gold

Oriental handicraft - love the colours, was sieving through the racks for them

I wasn't too neat freak when I was a young girl so my bead collections used to just scatter all over (to my mum's total disapproval) but now it's all different
Jump rings, twisting wires, threading in beads with a needle and asking Mumsie or my cousin to clasp the ends for me.
But of course, with less nimble fingers than before (thank goodness for a handy pair of pilers)

Good ole trusty rusty pair

Gotta love the natural light streaming into my bedroom - morning rays.
Off to work some magic, and perhaps finish off Tipping Point by Gladwell where I left off!
Rented a couple of DVDs yesterday so perhaps a second consecutive family movie night awaits.
(Shutter island last night was really good, can't type this without even glancing behind my shoulder though)
Work officially starts tomorrow, with Bash stunts and whatnots piling up.
Ready or not, December's starting with that bang.

Update: Finally figured how to toggle off the date stamping on the Canon Ixus
Hahaha my pair of pilers spots the word "MERRY" on its front

See finished product here!

A quaint find,

I've heard about the Singapore styled farmers market, a concept introduced by The Pantry Cookery school.
There's Berwick Street market in London and Fremantle market in Perth, but a one of our very own (small scale) one on this sunny island?
Would certainly love to pop by one day, they happen every first and third Saturday of the month from 9am - 2pm @ 75E Loewen Cluste.
Maybe I'll persuade R to have early morning brunch at the Pantry cafe this Saturday
What a quaint find, fresh fruit to baked treats! (And perhaps some inspiration for more baking)
Hope it doesn't become a second Thieves market.

School's out,

It's a breezy beautiful day outside, absentmindedly forgot to draw the roman blinds before turning in yesterday so the morning rays woke me up.
The December holidays are here to play, time to fill up that schedule with the upcoming camps and meet ups.
I absolutely adore having time in my hands to plan! (Albeit the short holiday season this time round)

Did my nails with Sarah the red hot chilli pepper yesterday @ Plush 313 after Harry Potter, which was the spookiest out of the previous ones. (But no doubt as awesome)

Love the nude nails with a pink tinge, red nails for Christmas soon!

Love how my polariod wall's filling up and making the room feel extremely homely, even with the wreckage after exams - post-battle destruction.

Trying to get my room in place, even after moving in for 11 months, that's nearly a year!

Cathy looking really perky and demure, as she usually is.

Just settled my claims and administration, oh the joy.
Module preference exercise is starting tomorrow, so I'm still sieving through the various combinations of modules. (Possibly Theatre or Philosophy for my humanities exposure)
It has never been easy settling on modules, and I do hope I manage to secure my Psychology ones.

For the rest of today, it's just more packing up of thy room (see above, without judging) and tweaking the New York Cheesecake recipe I stumbled upon online, and eventually settling down with a good book and afternoon tea.
Like always, personal time is empowering - especially before the onset of the eventful weeks ahead.

Christmas is coming and I'm really excited, might be a tad too late to start on the Christmas cards for my close friends - it's been such a tradition to ignore!
Besides, it's always a good time to count my blessings and give thanks to Him for such wonderful individuals in my life

Visions for the near future,

What now that exams have drawn to an end? Therapy, meetings and finally slowing down Life's pace for the better.

1. Fixing my finances
2. Hair cut badly needed
3. Manicure with the girls on Monday
4. Skype dates with people across the globe
5. Bash comm meetings, planning streak ahead!
6. Keeping up with Bible study sessions
7. PRU/SLC camps - smells like fun
8. Lynn's wedding
9. Meetups and catching up with people whom I dearly miss
10. Settling claims and such
11. Fix my prized charm bracelets that broke
12. Browhaus please!!

College life has been fairly interesting with a twist, and I'm surprisingly taking it quite well.
Pictures of London paint pretty visions in my head but it's been a humbling experience.
The fact that I  know He has plans laid out for me comforts me a great deal and I give thanks for His presence throughout my exam spree.
Results are out on 21st December, for now it's a sojourn in the comfort zone.

The one with the blue bikini lady and airbrush tattoos,

I'm back to my cosy little refuge - School's out and the holiday bug has already caught up.
Blissful afternoon @ Cafe del mar to orchestrate the onset of the next one month of therapy♥♥♥♥
(After Korean sappy movie the night before with the boy heehee)
Sun and sand goodness with cocktails and lovely company, what more to ask for on a lazy Saturday?

Messed up a few gorgeous polariods,

Lounging around without the books beckoning, blue bikini lady stories and air brush star sisters tattoos, we're on a roll.
Everyone need's a little saving at times - happy aches and sandy bags.

Church tomorrow, shall catch some beauty sleep soon

The power of ten,

Skype magic with the girls a few weeks back before the onset of exams, felt the need to archive this because we're been anticipating our 101010 date online for years and it finally arrived!
Even though we aren't strewn over several continents, Karen's away in a different time zone hence the hassle of conflicting schedules.
Next skype date soon :)

Why they're so loved:

YAO ZA, indeed.

Update: Move on, Skype's a verb (we used oovoo)

Hiatus,

I've been meaning to update this place, but it's really just a dry spell in my mind.
(I'm really still alive)
In the meantime, I shall clamp up one corner and join them books.
Or maybe if I clicked my heels together and wished really hard, finals will come and go, whisked away with the monsoon winds.
Anticipating 26th November, the day to remember.

Classic,

Talk about classic conditioning in a whole new level.
And no, I haven't been buried alive in Psychological theories and whatnots.
More updates soon!
