Film: Universal studios,

These films are estimated to be a few years back but here goes: summer goodness in Universal studios where the hype was still out and about and the heat was searing. Missing the days of guilt-free gallivanting.

Will definitely update this place more often, sorry for the hiatus - it wasn't uncalled for as I had an extremely busy month with project deadlines, midterms and R leaving for London. Travelogues a-beckoning! 

Taiwan pebble beach,

Spent my last few leftover film rolls from my Taiwan trip on these gorgeous shots of the famous pebble beach, or more affectionately known to the locals as 花蓮七星潭. These were taken along the coast of Taiwan, Hualien (花蓮), a pit stop made enroute back to the city. It spots a stunning view of the Pacific ocean by the quiet seaside town, I remember pecking on fresh fruit samples (and dried fruit alike) at the nearby fruit fair. There's nothing much in the vicinity, just a few makeshift stalls selling corn cobs and drinks and a enterprising restaurant which decked out beach chairs like it's summer. Spotted a few youngsters cheekily throwing pebbles back into the ocean and a scruffy dog happily nested on an old tyre. Such is the tranquility our usual city life can never offer. 

Will definitely be back after my papers, when summer beckons! ♥ 

P.S. I'm wrapped up in 3 layers above, no idea how I'm going to survive winter in London this coming January

Days undone,

Whipped out my SLR on a sunny afternoon when my nephew came over for a carnival @ Queens - these film pictures were taken back in 2011 so please pardon the tardiness! They really brought about bouts of glee as I looked through the stash of archives in my iPhoto library, you can't really compartmentalize memories like a Mac - can anyone? Especially looking through pictures of his cheeky cotton candy filled smiles. Nothing like empty yoghurt boxes (yes, if you look closely at the pictures) and pink cotton candy clouds to make a 3 year old's day. Such a joy to shoot!

Taiwan captured on film (Part I),

Selected some film pictures out of the four rolls developed to share, quite pleased because they turn out sharper than my Melbourne film pictures here.  I'm also sharing the locations of where they were taken (recalling by memory). I've tons of digital family shots too, but I'll post them after these analogue moments ♥

Travelled from the outskirts of Taiwan to the inner cities, which is quite a mean feat for 8 days in the country. We had to switch hotels every day so had to make sure we didn't unpack too much! The weather was crisp and especially icy along the coastal areas (missing the breeze nonetheless), but I'm missing the good street snacks and friendly people there. The countryside was was blissfully therapeutic, with the breathtaking scenery @ Taroko gorge and quaint laidback culture of the small towns painting the perfect picture of a retiree's dream - which is quite hard to achieve with the hustle and bustle of Singapore city. I'll let the pictures speak to you.
