Nous avons notre amour ♥

                                                                                                                                              Kodak gold film 35mm ISO200
Song of the moment: You and I - Ingrid Michaelson

Cher journal,

Aujourd'hui il fait chaud, et beau. (Okay not really, it rained for a while but I don't know how to express that) C'est ma première fois écrit dans ce journal en français, c'est intéressant et intrigant.

Yanting

Rewind,

Snagged myself a sparkly Buffalo journal last Thursday (and lovin' it), it was 1 for 1 so R got a vintage brown one too. I love buying notebooks, even though I can't bear to use them because they look so gorgeously untouchable. I'm going to use this one though, it promises to shine through even the bluest of Monday. Two more weeks to the advent of the a new semester, standing ahead as tall as lions, which is honestly quite daunting but I know it will all be worth it ♥ 14 days of summer rush, and I'll be a sophomore no more - junior year let's go.

P.S. Typed senior year at first, but Karen helped me with the quality control hahaha thank you!

Rut,

Feels like I'm caught in a perpetual rut of stagnant quicksand. The past few weeks have been so uninspiring - and this lack of inspiration is pretty ex(zest)perating. I don't know if it's the office that has been sapping away my energy but I' m determined to get my game on and find that spark in me once again to do things I love and chase these dreams.

"So Jesus answered and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done."

Your fate hurtles down on you,

I've been good all weekend - waking up exceptionally early for a non-work day and wearing flats to put my battered feet to rest from its weekday torment. Oats for a healthy start of the day, and a pepper of household chores for the domestic goddess ideal. Although I did get ticked off by mumsie for saying okay a litte too hastily, hence a reminder for thyself to be more tactful. I'm typing this on a train ride to the East for Pepperoni's so I shall leave you here as I return to my train dose of literature joy and newfound love for Best Coast which is on perpetual repeat on my music player (Thanks to my office companion) Adios, amigos!

Edit/Pepperoni's pizzas are pretty awesome and the family-sized pizzas are amazingly huge!

Come on Barbie let's go party,

Good Sunday evening to all, just had a lazy afternoon of tossing homemade rojak (props to mumsie!) and rusty badminton skills, and ending it with a family meal @ Soup Restaurant (which turned out to be quite a disappointment) and some shopping. Oldies in the car lullabied me into a slumber, as I dragged myself back to my room and here I am mourning the loss of yet another weekend. It has been a pretty amazing weekend, although Friday dinner was such a letdown and really invoked much unnecessary reflections. But I shall look on the bright side, and rejoice for a good break (even though I need to catch up on sleep). In other news, my neck feels broken, much thanks to sleeping on the ground on Friday night - keeping my fingers crossed that I won't hobble around like a stiff robot tomorrow in office. Or perhaps I'm just getting too old for partying hahaha. Have a great week ahead lovelies, ciao!

A sprinkle of mnemonic charm please,

It's 11:11, and I make a silly wish for a sprinkle of mnemonic charm for the the (albeit mundane) day - nearly the advent of a new afternoon means I have to start scampering through my pile of research papers (Reading week started on 15 April) but right now I'm still on Fashion toast for my daily dose of breakfast ♥ Some new additions to my stash from weeks ago, particularly pleased about the mint nail polish which I've been raving about which goes perfect with the turquoise school satchel (houses my Mac snugly for presentation days) Grab and go books from the book sale @ NUS Central Forum - short stories because I can't really afford time for leisure reading nowadays and Jodi Picoult in a feeble attempt to entice my sister to read more.

In (not so recent) times, I've also jumped from Team pencil to Team liquid eyeliner, I know the bottle spots noir intense but it's not very harsh and so manageable to sweep across, just irks me when it gets into my waterline. But it stays on longer than pencil eyeliners, although the latter has a softer touch. Halfway through the bottle, and I'm lovin' and not leaving the house without it thus far!

New eyecandies on the list:
1. NYX Black label lipstick in Summer in HamptonGirly pink or Shell
2. Gorgeous Bulova vintage watch piece

It's time for lunch, time to hit the kitchen for homecooked green tea Soba (closest thing I have to my Wakame Udon craving). Oh how I long for summer, I can feel it in my blood. Ciao!
