Kranji,

Paid a little vist to the Kranji countryside one fine Saturday afternoon where we had the car. Armed with our cameras, but I didn't bring my film unfortunately. Roamed around, almost forgetting we were still in Singapore - what luxuries of time together I will dearly miss.

Come on Barbie let's go party,

Good Sunday evening to all, just had a lazy afternoon of tossing homemade rojak (props to mumsie!) and rusty badminton skills, and ending it with a family meal @ Soup Restaurant (which turned out to be quite a disappointment) and some shopping. Oldies in the car lullabied me into a slumber, as I dragged myself back to my room and here I am mourning the loss of yet another weekend. It has been a pretty amazing weekend, although Friday dinner was such a letdown and really invoked much unnecessary reflections. But I shall look on the bright side, and rejoice for a good break (even though I need to catch up on sleep). In other news, my neck feels broken, much thanks to sleeping on the ground on Friday night - keeping my fingers crossed that I won't hobble around like a stiff robot tomorrow in office. Or perhaps I'm just getting too old for partying hahaha. Have a great week ahead lovelies, ciao!

Jolly wicked,

Went out the week before finals to catch Wicked @ Marina bay sands, and headed down to the platform by the river to celebrate Xiner's 21st birthday with the rest of the gang, I had fun unwinding before exams prep started ♥

The musical was really jolly wicked! I've watched three life musicals (Lion King, a classic Disney story @ MBS and Drowsy Chaperone, a parody of the American musical comedy of the 1920s @ Broadway avenue, New York) thus far, and I daresay that Wicked won hands down in terms of stage set up and plot. You don't have to know the detailed story plot before watching, because it's another story that unfolds....with the classic characters of Wizard of Oz, The Good witch of the North and the Wicked witch of the West; and struggles of personalities and differences. (Certain spoilers ahead)

The numbers (mostly Sopranos), especially by the misunderstood Elphaba and ditzy Glinda were such a pleasure to watch, even though we couldn't really see their facial expressions upfront from our seats, the set-up and unfolding of the plot gave dimensions to each character - which eventually made Elphaba's fall from grace evoke sombre yet memorable moments. I absolutely adore how they used Defying Gravity as one of the numbers when Elphaba took flight and escaped, I love that song! If you listen careful, a lot of made-up words were peppered into the script, seemingly to make it sound very magic worldly (words like confusify)

One of the funniest parts of the musical was definitely when Elphaba and Glinda were paired up as roommates and wrote back to their homes to ask well and complain about each other. Glinda sang: "unusuallyandexeceedinglypeculiarandaltogetherquiteimpossibletodescribe" while the other students chimed in synchrony on her plight. Elphaba only had one word: "Blonde". Hahaha I love how Glinda sang her part so professionally ^^

We were slightly taken aback during the abrupt intermission though, still wondering if we were left hanging halfway...turns out that it was a 15 minute break.

After which, we led ignorant Xiner to a non-existant Wicked musical exhibition, but guided her to where Hasan and Yiangmeng were with her surprise cakes! Except that I was quite muddle-headed when frantically trying to find them that I walked into their birthday trap for her and ended up genuinely shocked when they pranced out.....but Happy birthday Xiner ♥

Ended up taking night shots and playing around with pretty fire sparklers by the river, here's one of us attempting to form her name!

Kinda missing their nonsense amidst typing this post, I really can't wait for our Phuket getaway this coming weekend - promises to be fun :) It's my second day of work, and it hasn't really taken a toll on me yet except that the airconditioning really gets on my nerves when the temperature drops to uncomfortable states. Glad to have friendly fellow colleagues to share my experiences with :)

I'd sooner buy defying gravity,

Photograph taken by the windy coastal area of the Great Ocean Road, Melbourne, 2011

Song of the moment: Wicked - Defying gravity

This song really makes me want to watch Wicked sigh I'm sucha weakling for musicals; I thought the Glee duet with Kurt and Rachel was a lot more emotional though. Been singing it since breakfast (Hello gorgeous mood) despite the cold dreary morning. Cathy's perfect for this snuggle weather ♥ Don't you sometimes feel like your life's a musical where you can suddenly burst out in song and the world's your oyster? I love the feeling it empowers you with. Anyhow, the sun's alive again, amen! My apologies for the dry spell here, I'm having my midterms in a week so I'm aware of all these fillers here and there.... bought some baking decorations from Chip Bee gardens near Holland village a few weeks back to add to my collection hehe I can't wait to use them. On a side note, this photograph (you can tell that we were freezing) reminds me of how much I could use a vacation or a staycation right now.

Ciao!

For life's not a paragraph,

Caught a glimpse of beautiful evening sun rays, a pleasant surprise as I walked past my parents' room in a half conscious state.  Which is not a mean feat considering how the afternoon heat has basked my room in a drunken stupor. (Like room, like occupant I'll say) Hidden sweet treats found buried in the refrigerator are such gems, except that the sugar crystals keep flaking off and I have to dust them away from my desk. In other side news, I've also painted my nails jade green, the picture doesn't really do them justice because they look turquoise and my fingers look awkward haha. I also have a knack for hoarding bottles so my Starbucks 100% fresh orange juice comes in handy as a bottle companion.

Got a few OPI bottles from a fashion event I attended whilst I was working last year, haven't tried them yet even though they're very prettily lined up on my accessories shelf. And of course, an eiffel tower keychain, which perches perfectly on the window grill. What bold dreams ♥

Love the contrast against my new IKEA cushion, garnered through a fulfilling meal of meatballs, chicken breast with pasta, classic juice and Daim cake two days ago. If I eat there frequently enough, perhaps I'll have the whole range of the other colours. Ciao!

Time can take its toll on the best of us,

It's barely halfway through the day but my eyes are half closed, lip gloss eaten away.
So far I've taught my sister how to bus to school, refused a chocolate digestive by my classmate, and accidentally drew on my jean shorts with an uncapped ink pen (in a non-artistic sort of way)
Just used my last ounce of energy fixating on a cockroach figure which the shuttle bus driver used to hold up his sun shield, deciding if it was real or not (or if there was a need for panic)....and typing this.
My hair ends are frayed and there's sand in my H&M flats.
I could really use a cuppa coffee right now.

P.S. Feeling so much better right now with Arnott's Blueberry tarlets after printing my notes

I need lifelines instead,

Being swamped with a mess of deadlines (as you can see for yourself)
I love how I'm constantly obsessed with GIF Ninja because it's oddly calming to piece pictures together and see them magically flow from static images to coming alive. Ironically, I cannot resist denying the pun understated. Here's some love to those starting the new semester as well, and for the new MC elected up last night ♥

Fixation up above,

I've been meaning to update this place, (hopefully) soon when I manage to catch my breath on things.
Past months have been amazing, albeit the abject luck and messes I've been treated with.
Smooth sailing starts to the year have been nothing but proverbial myths, but I've been doing good because of the great company and support
A new school term, standing as tall as lions.

Updates soon, I promise!

School's out,

It's a breezy beautiful day outside, absentmindedly forgot to draw the roman blinds before turning in yesterday so the morning rays woke me up.
The December holidays are here to play, time to fill up that schedule with the upcoming camps and meet ups.
I absolutely adore having time in my hands to plan! (Albeit the short holiday season this time round)

Did my nails with Sarah the red hot chilli pepper yesterday @ Plush 313 after Harry Potter, which was the spookiest out of the previous ones. (But no doubt as awesome)

Love the nude nails with a pink tinge, red nails for Christmas soon!

Love how my polariod wall's filling up and making the room feel extremely homely, even with the wreckage after exams - post-battle destruction.

Trying to get my room in place, even after moving in for 11 months, that's nearly a year!

Cathy looking really perky and demure, as she usually is.

Just settled my claims and administration, oh the joy.
Module preference exercise is starting tomorrow, so I'm still sieving through the various combinations of modules. (Possibly Theatre or Philosophy for my humanities exposure)
It has never been easy settling on modules, and I do hope I manage to secure my Psychology ones.

For the rest of today, it's just more packing up of thy room (see above, without judging) and tweaking the New York Cheesecake recipe I stumbled upon online, and eventually settling down with a good book and afternoon tea.
Like always, personal time is empowering - especially before the onset of the eventful weeks ahead.

Christmas is coming and I'm really excited, might be a tad too late to start on the Christmas cards for my close friends - it's been such a tradition to ignore!
Besides, it's always a good time to count my blessings and give thanks to Him for such wonderful individuals in my life

Visions for the near future,

What now that exams have drawn to an end? Therapy, meetings and finally slowing down Life's pace for the better.

1. Fixing my finances
2. Hair cut badly needed
3. Manicure with the girls on Monday
4. Skype dates with people across the globe
5. Bash comm meetings, planning streak ahead!
6. Keeping up with Bible study sessions
7. PRU/SLC camps - smells like fun
8. Lynn's wedding
9. Meetups and catching up with people whom I dearly miss
10. Settling claims and such
11. Fix my prized charm bracelets that broke
12. Browhaus please!!

College life has been fairly interesting with a twist, and I'm surprisingly taking it quite well.
Pictures of London paint pretty visions in my head but it's been a humbling experience.
The fact that I  know He has plans laid out for me comforts me a great deal and I give thanks for His presence throughout my exam spree.
Results are out on 21st December, for now it's a sojourn in the comfort zone.

The one with the blue bikini lady and airbrush tattoos,

I'm back to my cosy little refuge - School's out and the holiday bug has already caught up.
Blissful afternoon @ Cafe del mar to orchestrate the onset of the next one month of therapy♥♥♥♥
(After Korean sappy movie the night before with the boy heehee)
Sun and sand goodness with cocktails and lovely company, what more to ask for on a lazy Saturday?

Messed up a few gorgeous polariods,

Lounging around without the books beckoning, blue bikini lady stories and air brush star sisters tattoos, we're on a roll.
Everyone need's a little saving at times - happy aches and sandy bags.

Church tomorrow, shall catch some beauty sleep soon
